The Million Dollar Lunch is raising the bar once again, with organisers today revealing that Australian music superstar Amy Shark will headline this year’s spectacular Melbourne event, made possible through the generous support of Mushroom Group.
One of the most celebrated names in entertainment with eight ARIA awards, and three #1 albums Amy Shark brings a world-class presence to what is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most powerful philanthropic gatherings.
Joining Amy Shark is award winning Australian artist, Michael Paynter, known for his powerful vocals and captivating live performances. A member of legendary group Icehouse, Paynter is one of Australia’s most respected and versatile musicians, with a career spanning more than two decades across touring, production and theatre – including critically acclaimed lead roles in Jesus Chris Superstar and the upcoming role of John in ‘Whispering Jack — The John Farnham Musical’.
The Million Dollar Lunch will continue its extraordinary legacy of impact, having raised over $32m over the past two decades for the Children’s Cancer Foundation, supporting life-changing medical research and initiatives for children and families affected by cancer. The event’s impact and lasting success have been made possible by the long-term support of principal partner, Crown Resorts Foundation, which has proudly funded the event for 15 of its 20 years.
