Our Values

Purpose-driven values, low administration costs and efficient fundraising methods are the way we accomplish our non-profit organisation work.

Our non-profit organisation values and operations

We always want to find a better way for every childhood cancer challenge.

We know we cannot do this alone, so we seek to partner with the many who can help.

We strive for the most efficient way to achieve our ambitions and always provide full disclosure.

We are the voice of those needing a cure and are focused on their access to the best possible support today, and the promise of complete solutions tomorrow.

We steadfastly believe that we are making a vital contribution to beat childhood cancer for good, and the horizon for success is visible.

How we fundraise ethically and cost-effectively

As a non-profit organisation our projects and programs come together through the work of our board of directors, a modest team of paid staff and a large group volunteers who help us maximise our fundraising income. Our funds are raised through The Million Dollar Lunch, community fundraising, corporate sponsorship, bequests and donations.

Project Funding  is allocated based on our Scientific Advisory Committee recommendations to the board. Ongoing funding is dependent on achieving funding milestones and annual reporting against agreed objectives.

We like to keep administration and fundraising costs to a minimum. Our overheads are kept low through the generosity of many pro bono supporters who provide us with office space, IT, print, legal, audit and event management.

Our low administration costs and efficient and ethical fundraising methods enable us to direct a higher proportion of donations directly to the projects we fund. Unlike some other non-profit organisations, we do not hold public raffles, telemarketing, cash and goods donation boxes and arrangements with commercial fundraisers, as the majority of funds raised are retained by those service providers.

How can you help?

When you love someone deeply you want them to shine in your life always. You will do anything to protect them. Children’s cancer shouldn’t happen – but sadly, it still does. With your help, we're funding game-changing research projects that will help eliminate children’s cancer.
