Australia’s leading business, sporting, entertainment and philanthropic figures came together in spectacular style to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of The Million Dollar Lunch, raising an incredible $2,325,900 and taking the event’s total raised to more than $35 million since its inception.

Held in the opulent surrounds of Palladium at Crown Melbourne, the sold-out event welcomed more than 700 guests for an afternoon of glamour, world-class entertainment and extraordinary generosity. Guests were treated to live performances from Amy Shark, dressed by Viceta Wang and Michael Paynter, alongside a dazzling auction of coveted luxury items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Among the most talked-about lots was the chance to step into the boots of a ‘Cowboy for a Day’, while acclaimed Australian artist David Bromley added the finishing touches to a one-of-a-kind artwork live before guests, offering a rare glimpse into the creative process behind an auction piece. Professor Brendan Murphy, won the Lexus of Blackburn premium raffle, winning a Lexus UX Luxury 2WD SUV, kindly donating it to the Children’s Cancer Foundation to be gifted to a family in need. Roving performers kept the energy high throughout the afternoon, with Hamish McLachlan expertly steering the celebrations as MC.
A particularly moving moment came with a short film sharing the story of 8-year-old Oli and his family’s experience with childhood cancer, reminding guests of the real-world impact behind the day’s fundraising.

Rianna Ponting, Chair, The Million Dollar Lunch Committee said the extraordinary result reflected the generosity and commitment of the Million Dollar Lunch community. “The Million Dollar Lunch brings people together to make an extraordinary difference to children and families affected by cancer. This year’s incredible result is a testament to the generosity of our guests, partners, sponsors and supporters, and will help create brighter futures for children with cancer and their families.”
For 17 years, Crown Resorts Foundation has supported The Million Dollar Lunch, donating the iconic Palladium and event delivery to help maximise the funds raised for the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The $2.3 million raised this year will go help advance childhood cancer research, strengthen family support and fund innovative care programs, improving outcomes for children and families across Australia.
